about me

I was born and raised in St. Petersburg and enjoyed a classical education at the St. Petersburg State Stieglitz Academy of Art and Design. For the last 12 years I have specialized in wheel-throwing porcelain. This material fascinates me. Porcelain objects are renowned for their beauty and delicacy but it is also an amazing material to work with because of its elastic and fluid feel as a clay. It lets me catch precious moments.

A lot of things inspire me, such as shapes of nature, urban structures, sounds, light, architecture, texts and music. But mostly private stories. Emotion is a great power.

From the smallest cup to a large, unique vessel, I make by hand all the work that bears my name. Each piece is always an individual item: a reflection of the shape of my hands as well as my emotions.

You can buy handmade ceramics online, arrange a studio visit, discuss a commission or take a wheel-throwing pottery class in my studio in Berlin-Kreuzberg.
